    United States Army 2nd lieutenant's uniform consists of an olive wool tunic jacket and a pair of breeches worn between 1917 and 1919 by 2nd Lieutenant Horace Edward Johnson of Minneapolis, Minnesota. The jacket has a round patch with a mustard Greek cross on black ground sewn to the top of the left sleeve and a double chevron insignia at the bottom of the left sleeve. The breeches have lace and button closure leg plackets, a reinforced inseam and a button fly.

    Copy of "The New Testament" with a black cover given to United States Navy Seaman Edward R. Stensrud by his father. It was printed by the John C. Winston Co. in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The inside cover contains a handwritten note reading "U.S.S. Missouri" and "July 10th 1917 / to / Mr Edward Raymond Stensrud - From your Dad G.O. Stensrud. / Mpls Minn.". This is one of several souvenirs; see also ID Numbers 1976.28.B through 1976.28.R contained in Stensrud's World War I ditty box, ID Number 1976.28 A.
