    Minutes, correspondence, deeds, legal documents, annual reports, tax returns, stock certificates, and financial summaries and reports of a company in business (1901-1944) mainly selling cutover lands in Douglas County, Wisconsin. Includes earlier ownership and sale records (1885-1900) of company lands, especially holdings of the Musser-Sauntry Land, Logging and Manufacturing Company, Stillwater; and information on several Wisconsin land and development companies. This company was a Weyerhaeuser affiliate.
  10. Collection: Robert Rogers: An Inventory Of His Papers

    Photocopies and transcripts of letters, petitions, and traders' accounts related to Rogers' fur trade activities while he was a British military officer at posts in the Great Lakes area, to the fur trade at Michilimackinac and vicinity, and to Rogers' attempts to finance his search for a Northwest Passage and to engage the services of Jonathan Carver. A deed, petition, affidavits by veteran fur traders, and related items relate to attempts by one of Rogers' descendants to clear title to land along Lake Superior that Rogers had purchased from the Ojibwa Indians.

    Correspondence, journals and typed transcripts of the journals, order books, financial records, an autobiography, data sheets, and research note cards, the bulk of which document Taliaferro's career as U.S. Indian agent to the Ojibwe and Dakota at the St. Peters Agency near Fort Snelling in present-day Minnesota (1820-1839).
